Myntra’s biggest launch from last year was not a clothing line or even a brand, it was a unique show that left all viewers inspired, entertained, and wanting for more. We saw all kinds of fashion influencers take over the show, from the bubbly to the grungy and fashion fluidity. It was a show that made a mark in the hearts of all fashion enthusiasts in the country. But we must say, this show and its concept goes way beyond just fashion itself.

Over the last and first season, we saw that Myntra Fashion Superstar is also about content creation around fashion. Like having a great fashion sense or style is not hard enough, the contestants also need to have an explosive energy and the confidence to pull off their looks and execute their concept. Story telling is a vital part in today’s entertainment industry and social media content is a medium that reaches to all, especially the youth of today. It is therefore the perfect platform to promote causes that tackle social issues that are prevalent today. And that is exactly what Myntra Fashion Superstar has set out to do this year.

Killing two birds with one stone

Expectations are higher this year, considering the performance of the contestants or fashion gurus from last year. This year though, the show is ready to hit double the homerun. The viewers who tune in to catch some top-notch fashion content and to learn something from the future gurus not only walk away fulfilled but also learning something valuable.

To know more about that, let’s talk about the theme of the show this year.

All you need to focus on is the hashtag #MFSChangeTheConversation. The theme focuses on the power of influence and how social media can be used to promote positive change and messages in a world that is plagued with several social issues such as bullying while breaking stereotypes and other social conventions.

The contestants are encouraged to create content that speak to the audience on current social issues while staying relevant to fashion trends. It is entertainment plus education at its best.

MFS Boasting a Diverse Panel of Judges

This year’s Myntra Fashion Superstar will truly go down in history as a season that put together a stellar panel of judges. Alongside the diverse line-up of contestants, is an equally diverse panel of judges that come from different walks of life and profession.

Firstly, we have one of the most beautiful and intelligent women in the world, Sushmita Sen, who, with her beauty and grace, has left everyone spellbound since the time she won the title of Miss Universe in 1994. We also have renowned fashion designer to ever stem from the country, Manish Malhotra! That is right! Malnish Malhotra is back again this season, and this time not as a guest judge but one of the main judges of the show. For the third and final spot, we have the incomparable comedian, Mallika Dua, who is today known as one of the OG influencers that started it all in India.

Together, the three is set on making this show a memorable one. Let’s not forget the host too, who is none other than the super talented and beautiful MTV VJ herself, Gaelyn Mendonca.

The competition is fiercer

Although we don’t mean to draw comparisons to the previous and the first season of the show itself, we can almost definitely tell that Myntra has outdone itself yet again, as it does with everything else. And Myntra Fashion Superstar is no exception! It is back with a bang and there is much more at stake for the contestants, a.k.a future trend setter and fashion gurus.

Powered by everyone’s favourite brand, H&M, the show will crown the winner with the title that will not only include a 1 year ₹1 million influencer contract with Myntra but a 1-year contract with MTV to be their Social Influencer in Fashion, as well!

The eight-part show which premiered in Myntra Studio will also be aired every Sunday at 7pm on MTV as well. Don’t miss it!
